Gynaecologist in Cork

I’m Dr Ana Belén Rizo, a gynaecologist providing consultations in Cork City Centre, with over a decade of clinical experience in general, regenerative and functional gynaecology. My commitment is to support every woman in caring for her intimate health with a whole-person approach grounded in scientific evidence, respect, and attentive listening. Appointments are booked via Q Clinic.

About my training and experience

I graduated in Medicine from the University of Málaga and completed my specialist (MIR) training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Hospital Clínico Universitario Virgen de la Victoria, working alongside highly respected specialists.

I later practised in gynaecology and obstetrics in centres such as Quirón Marbella and Hospital HLA El Ángel, with experience in antenatal care and assisted reproduction.

Since 2015, I have specialised in regenerative and functional gynaecology, with a focus on advanced therapies including medical laser treatments and integrative, personalised care.

My clinical approach

I see women’s health as a whole-person journey that goes beyond traditional medicine alone. I combine medical, hormonal, emotional and functional perspectives to offer solutions that:

  • Improve intimate symptoms such as pain, dryness or sexual dysfunction
  • Support hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause
  • Integrate physical and emotional wellbeing
  • Respect each woman’s individual needs and circumstances

This integrative approach helps my patients feel truly heard and supported in their intimate health—without taboos, judgement or oversimplified answers.
